Abby's 2nd birthday started off the month for us and McKay's 5th ended it. For Abby's we had Carla and Corbin, the Knopps, and Brendl and Clay over. We had so much going on that we made it easy and just ordered pizza! Abby got spoiled rotten and had a good time turning 2 (as you can see her gesturing). It is fun to have so many good friends!

Abby got a hamster from Gramma and Grampa Thomason for her birthday. She liked it, but it was McKay that really took to him. We asked Abby what she wanted to name him, and she came up with Rudy. ???? So Rudy it was!
As a tradition, we take the kids to the Rainforest Cafe for their birthdays. It works great since Abby is at the beginning of February and McKay is at the end. We just go in the middle. The kids love the atmosphere and every time the thunder storm would start they would cover their ears! Abby especially wasn't so sure about all of the loud animals and noises. McKay is such a boy! He figured out this year it was really fun to try and make funny faces at the last second. Sometimes he reminds me of Calvin..... Well, what do you expect of a boy that is turning 5 (below)?!
