July 2004

Well, the summer just didn't stop, and we were still busy!

The first weekend in July Karson's Dad's side of the family had a family reunion.  Karson was really sick with the stomach flu, but we had been planning to go for well over 6 months.  So we braved it and decided to go anyways.  Well, we got up there and the kids had fun running around.  McKay found a horse-shoe pit and was having a ball, and Abby just wandered.  She loved the open space.  However, after about 4 hours Karson had had enough and we were on our way back to Mesa.  The camp that we had gone to for it was on the top of Mt. Lemon outside of Tucson and was about 2 & 1/2 hours drive each way.  So we ended up driving for about 5 hours to be there for about the same amount of time.  The kids were troopers, but poor Karson was so sick!

That same night, the Nickerls drove up from their new location in Yuma and visited us and the Knopps for the 4th of July weekend.  It was so much fun to have them.  McKay loved having the boys to play with (an especially loved all of the GameBoys!) and we enjoyed visiting with Angela and Jason.  It was a houseful, but we sure enjoyed it.  Even Abby and Anna had fun together.  And of course, Monday morning we set up as many computers as we could scrounge (this weekend it was 4) and we had the boys playing games head to head.  Abby found McKay's Siderman suit and asked me to put it on.  She thought she was so clever!

Lots of cute pictures.  We are just a happy family!  :)

McKay had his ya-yas, Abby has her lambie (above).  Anytime she touches her lambie, immediately her thumb goes straight into her mouth.  She loves to snuggle lambie.

Summer continues on.  July Part II
